Today during the virtual event BlizzConline, Blizzard released new information and trailers regarding upcoming major updates to both World of Warcraft: Shadowlands and World of Warcraft Classic. First is the announcement of the 9.1 patch for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Chains of Domination. Included in the patch is the new area of the Maw, Korthia: City of Secrets. One of the biggest draws of Chains of Domination is the inclusion of an all-new ten-boss raid where players will be able to face off with bosses such as the true Eye of the Jailer, Tarragrue, and the Banshee Queen. Players can also look forward to a new mega dungeon, Tazavesh The Veiled Market. A new wing of Torghast Tower of the Damned will be available to explore as well.
By completing covenant activities and campaign chapters, players will be able to acquire new flying mounts based on their covenant. In addition to these mounts, players will also be able to earn a new covenant cosmetic armor set. The release of Chains of Domination will also be the start of Shadowlands Season 2.

Blizzard also announced the next expansion to World of Warcraft Classic, Burning Crusade Classic. This new expansion centers around the new land to explore, Outland. Players will be able to play as either of the two new races, Blood Elves or Draenel. Included in the expansion are new flying mounts and PvP arenas such as the Ring of Trials and the Circle of Blood. Additionally, players will be able to raid the new five-player dungeon Tempest Keep, the ten-player dungeon Karazhan, and the twenty-five-player dungeon Sunwell Plateau. Players will be able to access and level the new Blood Elf and Draenel races with the release of the Burning Crusade Classic pre-expansion pass.
