November 23rd, 2024, marks World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary, and due to this, World of Warcraft is bringing back past anniversary prizes. This game came out in 2004 and many items, like the fan-favorite mount for Obsidian Worldbreaker, haven’t been available since previous anniversary event.
World of Warcraft is holding a huge in-game event, which will include updates for Tier 2 armor sets, new world bosses, the codex of Chromie, and more. According to the World of Warcraft news page, some of the new bosses include Doomwalker, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, and the Dragons of Nightmares. It was also stated that the Tier 2 sets have been modernized, even for ones that didn’t exist in the beginning. All 13 sets will come with a cloak and 8 other unique pieces.
Bronze celebration tokens are a new event-based currency. A player can go on missions and once they complete the activity and kill the new special bosses, they will receive these tokens. All the tokens that the player earns will need to be taken to the Storekeeper Reginald in the Celebration Pavilion and perused in their inventory; then they can be used to buy anything, including items from previous anniversaries like Molten Corgi and the Obsidian Worldbreaker. Besides earning tokens, the player can also earn pets and toys.
According to World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary event, the event will run from October 22 through January 7, which allows the player to have 77 says.
Also, according to the World of Warcraft news page, everyone can come join Executive Producer & Vice President Holly Longdale, Senior Game Designer Bret Cocking, Associate Game Designer Leah Hwang, and host Community Manager Bethany Stout and they will reveal the games and activities the players will see in the World of Warcraft Anniversary Celebration, along with a sneak peek at upcoming Shaman Ascendance forms, the new Timewalking dungeons and Blackrock Depths Raid.
