Popular free multiplayer shooter World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition received the Rapid Fire update today, bringing new tanks, new upgrades, and new levels to the game’s repertoire.
Wargaming.net introduced a new update to the Xbox 360 version of their highly popular multiplayer combat shooter World of Tanks. This update, called the Rapid Fire update, brings players 13 new vehicles from both the American and German sides as well as two brand spanking new maps to challenge their gunner’s skills. With so much going for it, a word from the game’s creators on just what you’re getting in the new content is always a help:
Available worldwide, this content update to the successful multiplayer tank warfare game allows tankers to command some of history’s most dominant U.S. autoloader tanks and adds a total of thirteen brand new American and German tanks. Two dynamic new maps have also been included in the Rapid Fire Update, delivering variety to the battlefields.
Players can now research advanced autoloaders, including the deadly T-57 heavy, and roll them into battle. Further expansion of the U.S. and German tech trees and the addition of the high-tier autoloaders give players more options to strategize and engage in battle, while adding a new tactical element to their tank play.

A lot of the new content is available to all players as part of the game’s base free content, though a few of the new vehicles have been locked as premium. Some of the American vehicles featured in the new pack are the M7, the T71 and the T57 Heavy, while players on the German side gain access to the likes of the Marder 38T, Nashorn, and Waffenträger auf Pz. IV.
No wait is necessary: the Rapid Fire update is live now.
