Publisher Pocketpair Publishing and developer WizMUD Games have announced that Vision Quench, an online co-op title blending dark fantasy atmosphere with looter-shooter mechanics, will arrive on PC through Steam sometime in the first quarter of 2027. The window came alongside a new trailer and a developer diary.
The setting is a sprawling dungeon built inside the corporate structure of a fictional retail conglomerate, where a four-person team pushes upward against everything from old-world monsters to distinctly modern dangers, trying to reach the summit before the place gets the better of them. The plot centers on an unclaimed prize called the Sweepstakes Code, said to sit at the top of the Green Tower. Reaching it means threading through a dungeon that rearranges itself as the group climbs, populated by things that behave like neither ordinary architecture nor ordinary monsters.
Items driving both combat and character growth come from junk found around the dungeon: certain cursed goods can be fed into a ritual process, or eaten directly for a temporary boost to a player’s abilities. Players are reborn as a Freakopop, essentially a piece of merchandise that other players can grab and lob across the room, and while in that state they can still pitch in through the game’s Freako Vision system. Players are also stalked throughout by the Entity, a shape-shifting antagonist that steps in if the group strays from whatever rules it’s enforcing. Cosmetic customization leans into thrift-store, novelty-shop aesthetics, letting players outfit their characters in items like wizard hats and chain gauntlets.
Pocketpair Publishing, the company behind Palworld, is publishing Vision Quench in partnership with its developer, WizMUD Games, marking one of its newest collaborations. WizMUD Games previously put out a public demo for the game during a Steam Next Fest.
Vision Quench is available to wishlist now on Steam.
