With Over 100K Copies Sold, “Interstellar Marines” Gets Co-Op Gameplay on September 18

Copenhagen-based indie developer Zero Point Software launched their ambitious tactical Sci-Fi FPS game, Interstellar Marines, back in July 2013 on Steam Early Access. Since the introduced to fans of FPS games was made last year, it was announced that Interstellar Marines has made over 100k copies sold, which is more than $1.5 million in revenue for the team. With this amount of support from fans, the team will be bringing something else, that will bring in yet another group of fans, if you are a Co-Op shooter fan listen up. Interstellar Marines has announced the next big update codename “Project Co-Op”, and as you can tell by the name it will be introducing the first iteration of Co-Op gameplay to the game, and it is scheduled to release on September 18 via Steam Early Access. A new teaser was also released letting players know that in space, your friends will hear you scream, and you will no longer be alone! If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, then what are you waiting for? You can get the game for PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam Early Access for $18.99.

With PAX Prime 2014 just days away, you will definitely get to try your hands out on the new Co-Op gameplay and sneak peek at the new content on the convention floor. They will be available at Alienware’s booth, 1246, and you will also get to see the community manager Carsten “Bozar” Boserup, who will be showing off the Co-Op gameplay in Interstellar Marines. This update will bring the game closer to the full experience that Zero Point Software hoped to bring to the fans when they first thought off creating Interstellar Marines.

Here is the Co-Op Teaser that was released just in time for PAX Prime 2014 this Labor Day weekend:

With Interstellar Marines still on Early Access on Steam, it is still currently in heavy development and still needing the support from the fans during the process, in order to bring everything fans want, but also bringing the game closer to the dream updates into the near future. “Co-op is one of the central pillars of the game, and is a big part in providing players with an outstanding tactical experience in as realistic a manner as possible,” mentioned the creative director on Interstellar Marines, Kim Haar Jørgensen. “The co-op demo we will be showing at Alienware’s booth is an early slice of what we are working on. This is the first chance we have to present this early version of co-op to our players and we are eager to hear their feedback. After the release of Project Co-op in September we will continue to enhance and refine the co-op experience until it reaches the lofty heights we are aiming for.”
