Toy soldiers march around as the narrator talks about inventions that are behind a brilliant inventory. Various landscapes of the game are shown, a workshop, a garden, and a family room. There are scenes of Albert with his wife and young daughter. The story of Albert and of his inventions will be told as players complete puzzles and progress through the game’s narrative. A mechanical gauntlet is seen appearing from a machine. A robotic spider crawls around Albert’s workshop. Albert is in distress due to a letter with its unknown contents. A toy soldier then appears to lose its momentum and falls onto the ground.
The power of imagination is in the players’ hands. There will be powers to unlock that can control objects in this world, from wooden blocks to the other toys. Players will also use these abilities to link up objects to make paths for the soldiers to follow. Gamers can manipulate time, they can either pause, fast-forward or rewind time to change a decision or complete more difficult puzzles that are more challenging than others. The game’s soundtrack is composed by the award-winning composer Matthew Chastney, who brings relaxing music to contrast with the game’s atmosphere.
Tin Hearts is now available to play on PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC via Steam and Meta Quest 2.
