What’s New In NBA 2K18’s Prelude

The release of one of 2k’s biggest sports titles NBA 2K18 is still a week away but fans of the game have a chance to try the game out early with the recent release of the NBA 2k18 prelude. 2K released a demo for last year’s game as well and it allowed the fans to design their player, pick their play style, and rise through the ranks of collegiate basketball to get a head start on their NBA career before getting their hands on the full game.

This year’s prelude still serves the same purpose, to give players a demo of the new style and play of the game and to allow them to get an early start in the MyCareer mode. However, the difference lies within the new social space that this year’s 2k sports. The Neighborhood is a new shared social area that allows players to customize their players appearance, play mini games, and engage with other players. 2K also recently released some information on what new features are involved within the MyTeam mode.

The Prelude is free to download from the Playstation and Xbox Stores. Also, any progress that the player makes during the Prelude can be transferred over to full game when it releases should they decide to purchase it. NBA 2K18 will launch on September 15 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, as well as the Nintendo Switch. For those who preorder the game. Everyone will be able to pick it up four days later on September 19.
