What We Know About Spider-Man & What We Will See At E3 2018

With E3 2018 brooding ever so closely, the excitement for what some of the biggest names in gaming have in store for fans is reaching an all time high. One game in particular that has quite a bit of attention at the moment is Insomniac’s Spider-Man. We first got the initial reveal for the PlayStation exclusive back at E3 2016 along with a short snippet of gameplay and a brief look at the new take on the web-slinger himself.

Since then, we have received many more in depth looks at the game with various trailers, as well as a wealth of information coming from interviews. In addition, events like Disney’s D23 event last year, and Gameinformer’s May issue, which revealed the release date for the game, has 14 pages dedicated to the new Spider-Man title alone. The game boasts multiple suits, cameos from fan favorite Marvel universe characters, promising DLC features, a large engaging environment, and seamless intuitive gameplay that gives the player freedom to choose on how they will take on enemies as Spider-Man.

In terms of what we may see from the title at this year’s E3, Sony has already announced that their press conference, which takes place on June 11 at 6PM PT, will focus exclusively on four titles, one of which will be indeed be Spider-Man. However, Sony executive Shawn Layden stated this during a blogcast all he mentioned was that there will be a “new drop” for the game.

No specifics were given, but this does lead to believe that we will definitely receive some brand new footage, whether it be gameplay or a cinematic trailer. With the game slated to release this fall, it seems that Sony will use this opportunity to really make a big promotional push for the title. Spider-Man is currently set to release for the PlayStation 4 on September 7, 2018.
