We Met In May Has Been Gaining Popularity Since Its Introduction At E3 2019

Another new indie title introduced during E3 2019 has been gaining popularity recently. We Met In May is an upcoming game about the joys, and sometimes embarrassing moments, involved in getting to know someone for the first time. The project is being developed by Nina Freeman, Jake Jefferies, and Ryan Yoshikami, and was inspired by the real-life relationship between Freeman and Jefferies.

We Met In May is a “collection of vignette games” inspired by the many dates and memorable occasions a couple may experience while falling in love. Players will play through as Nina as she pursues her love interest, Jake. The two will go on multiple dates in a variety of locations. The two may have some fun in the sun while burying each other on the beach, or staying home and cooking a romantic dinner together.

We met in May and went on a lot of dates. This is a collection of vignette games about those dates and the comedy that comes with getting to know someone.

Nina Freeman, the developer for We Met In May, is a game designer at Fullbright, the developers behind Gone Home and Tacoma. This will not be her first game though, as Freeman has worked on previous titles including Cibele, A Pretty Ornament I Made, and Lost Memories Dot Net.

We Met In May will be available for PC players, and will launch on the Steam Store. While the game does not have an official release date, according to its Steam page, the studio has planned for a fall release, September of 2019. Add the title to your Steam wishlist to be notified of when the game becomes available for download.
