Watch It Now: First Ten Minutes Of Pokemon GO Beta Gameplay Released

Previously announced, Beta testing for wildly anticipation for Pokemon phone app, Pokemon GO, started Beta testing in the field in Japan back in March of this year, where the buzz surrounding the game drummed up a lot of positivity and excitement in fans.

A collaborative production between Niantic Labs and the powerhouse Pokemon Company. The game will be available for everyone’s smart phones, and enables players to battle and catch Pokemon on the go, everywhere they go, and works off of location based Ingress relating to the real-world. Needless to say, fans were ecstatic over the idea.

Later, to capitalize on the hype, beta test footage for the game was premiered at up-and-coming SXSW convention, as well as having new information regarding Pokemon gyms and teams in the game released via an announcement from their official website:

At a certain point in the game, you’ll be asked to join one of three teams. Once you join a team, you’ll gain the ability to assign Pokémon you’ve caught to empty Gym locations or to a location where a team member has placed one of his or her Pokémon. Like PokéStops, Gyms can be found at real locations in the world. Each player can place only one Pokémon at a particular Gym, so you’re encouraged to work with others on the team to build up a strong defense.

Breaking currently for all things Pokemon GO, the game has been under Beta testing down under, in Australia, and the first ten minutes of Beta gameplay has been graciously release, allowing us a blissful sneak peek into the next wonderful adventure into the world of Pokemon. The video details character creation, in-game music, travel, battling, and more.

The footage made an appearance at various website earlier in the week, only to be quickly and mysteriously pulled down. The same could happen to the one above, so make sure to strike right the heck now while the iron is hot.

Pokemon GO is set to launch later this year, and will be getting a North American and European release on top of the Japanese, Australian, and New Zealand releases as well.

Make sure to watch the new footage while it’s still available!
