In this new online mode, up to four players are able to team up and freely explore an open world based off of London. Players are able to work together in order to complete a variety of events, challenges, and side activities across the city. New co-op missions have also been added to the game that will make use of new co-op game mechanics. Those more used to fighting their friends, rather than helping them, are able to do so in the new PvP mode, Spiderbot Arena. In this mode, up to four players compete in a free-for-all deathmatch using the titular spider bots.
Owners of the season pass are also now able to access two new single-player missions. The first of these new missions, Guardian Protocol, has players track down and stop an AI algorithm that would give weaponized drones the power over life and death. The second mission, Not In Our Name, has players track down a secret group using the DedSec name while stealing information in order to blackmail their victims.
The new online mode for Watch Dogs: Legion is now available for free on consoles, PC, and Stadia. The first four-player tactical mission, Leader of the Pack, will also be released soon on March 23.
