The list of confirmed games at E3 just got a little bit longer today. According to Gamespot, In an email outlining Ubisoft’s E3 plans, the company confirmed that Watch Dogs 2, along with For Honor and Ghost Recon: Wildlands will make an appearance at its E3 2016 press conference.
The reason we are hearing about the game now instead of on the show floor could be due to Youtuber TheRadBrad who sent out a tweet thanking Ubisoft for a Watch Dogs 2 themed gift box, which included a pair of branded Ray Ban sunglasses.

Another Youtuber who goes by the name of UbiCentral also received the gift box and made an un-boxing video. Other than the sunglasses, the box also included a t-shirt and some buttons. The theme of the box seemed to be b-movie horror with most of the items proclaiming the return of DedSec, an organization from the first game.
It’s unclear if Ubisoft wanted people to show off the box, but considering the card that came with the box had a #WatchDogs2 hashtag, Ubisoft might be OK with it.
Little is known about the game, but in a report from Gamespot, Ubisoft’s CEO Yves Guillemot said during an earnings call that Watch Dogs 2 will have a “new tone”.
Along with the shift in tone, the game will possibly feature a new protagonist. Last month a performance artist by the name of King posted a picture on Instagram which he said was of the new lead character in a video game and added #Watch Dogs 2 in the tags. The account has since gone private, but NerdLeaks was the first to report on it and was able to get a picture of the character.
Here's the real leak we spotted days ago.

People weren’t thrilled with the first Watch Dogs, with most people saying that it was boring and Aidan Pierce, the original protagonist, was unlikeable. So far it looks like Ubisoft is addressing player complaints, hopefully it pays off.
Ubisoft’s press conference will be on June 13th, starting at 1PM PST, tune it to watch the reveal, or check back here and get all the info from the conference.
