Warner Bros’ MultiVersus Cinematic Trailer Reveals New Characters and Open Beta

Warner Bros starts the week off with a bang with its newest cinematic trailer for their upcoming game platform fighter, MultiVersus. Since its initial announcement last November and its following updates, MultiVersus’ new cinematic trailer provides eagerly awaiting fans long-awaited information regarding its character roster.

The cinematic trailer encapsulates the sheer absurdity of the game with its bright colors, unexpected character combinations and whimsical attitude. However, superseding the trailer’s wacky and wild interactions between characters like Batman and Shaggy; three new characters arrived, further expanding the roster. MultiVersus elaborated further on their official Twitter account:

MultiVersus welcomes the Iron Giant from The Iron Giant, Velma from the Scooby-Doo franchise, and The Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes to their roster. The vocal talent behind the new fighters is Jonathan Lipow, Kate Micucci, and Jim Cummings, respectively. With this latest announcement, fans have grown more eager to get their hands on the game, and as the end of the trailer reminded us all, fans still have their chance.

The Cinematic Trailer coincides with the announcement of an open beta proceeding after the closed alpha, beginning sometime in July. If you are still itching to get into the game early, there is still time! Head on over to the official site for MultiVersus for the closed alpha sign-ups and create a free account. Not everyone will get in, but if one is lucky enough, you will receive a code in your email to redeem. You can invite up to three people to join you in the alpha. Again sign-ups will last until May 19th, when the alpha officially launches. The alpha will run until May 27th.

So try out your luck or be ready to wait with the rest of us until the upcoming beta in July.
