Warhammer: Vermintide 2 DLC On The Way This Summer

It has been revealed that a Beastmen DLC is on its way to Warhammer: Vermintide 2. The leak of the upcoming content was found on the game’s Steam page several days ago that showed information on the DLC, along with a tentative release date. Developer Fatshark did not deny the leak and Vermintide 2’s official Steam page simply put up the DLC’s brief details to confirm this news. The DLC has been named Winds of Magic and will centered on an influx of “beastmen.”

Having been released almost an entire year ago, Winds of Magic will be the first DLC expansion for Vermintide 2. The release will introduce a new faction of enemies and a host of other challenges that players will have to overcome. These enemies are the Beastmen, who appear to be a race similar to a minotaur. These massive, aggressive foes will no doubt be a test of heroes’ strength and endurance. These beasts will emerge from a meteor that collided in the Reikland and are aiming to claim the lands as their own.

With the Beastmen comes an even higher mode of difficulty for players who are searching for a greater test of their skills in battle. The player level cap will also be raised and a new Adventure level will be released too. The exact new level cap has not specifically been stated by Fatshark and the five other weapons that are being introduced have yet to be named. The epicenter of the DLC is the newest game mode named after the DLC. Players will have to group up with friends who will play as the five different heroes and will take on the weaves of the eight Winds of Magic. This mode will increase in difficulty the further teams progress with more challenges added as time goes on.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Winds of Magic will be available this summer for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on the Steam Store.
