Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade Out This Summer

Once a high grossing table top game, now fast paced third person shooter, Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade was just approved for a Summer of 2016 launch. Players can look forward to playing Eternal Crusade on a multitude of platforms: PS4, Xbox One, and via Steam on PC.

The focus of Eternal Crusade is centered around warring factions: Space Marines, Chaos Space Marines, Eldar, and Orks. It’s up to players to plan strategy, deploy squads, and hold fast to their outposts from invading forces. Using the MMO element of the game, players must ban together “both on and off the battlefield” not only to push forward or crush their enemies, but to realize their goals as a team.

Further developments unraveled as the game’s producers at Behavior Interactive announced that the game would also be made available for Steam’s Early Access. Steam is currently offering 20% off asking price for players who purchase now, bringing the price down from $49.99 to $39.99. This will last until February 2nd.

Yesterday marked the final day for players to purchase their Founders Packs before the Closed Beta launch on Steam today.

When approached about the Early Access, developers responded via the game’s website:

Once we go live on Steam Early Access, we are still going to have a separate server, Founders Server, always running the latest branch of code and content to playtest or debug, do load testing, client performance testing, combat balancing, test new maps, some that are even just greyboxed. This is an optional server and your progress there is not part of playing on the Early Access.

Players engaged in this brutal landscape where “there is only war” can utilize the game’s many weapons and customisation options, as well as the option to take part in either PvP and PvE challenges along the way.

Whether or not you purchased a Founders Pack or choose to participate in the Early Access on Steam, we can look forward to the game’s big release this summer.
