On March 25th, developers and publishers at Fatshark released a launch trailer for their new and free update called Nightmares and Visions for their game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. The game originally came out back in November 30th, 2022 and it is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and on PC through Steam. The new update for the game is officially out now for players who are interested in the game.
The new update trailer showcases improvements to havoc modifiers such as Enraging Elites, The Encroaching Garden, Rampaging Enemies, and Heinous Rituals. There will also be a new wave-based activity, Mortis Trials, and a rework on the Ogryn class talent tree. With the improvement of the tree, this will give the class more options and strengths.
The first primary feature in the new update is Mortis Trails, where, according to msn, players will face twelve different waves of enemies that are separated into four groups of three, each wave getting stronger after the last. Players will be given the option to choose a small buff from the five categories that are called “indulgences.” Players will be able to obtain more buffs as they progress through each wave, and they will receive a much stronger buff every third objective wave, which requires players to do certain tasks in addition to defeating enemies.
Not only will there be the Mortis Trials event, but there will also be a time-limited in-game event called A Day At The Theater. Players will need to complete four consecutive waves in the Mortis Trials, and each set of four waves that are completed grants one event progress point. Players can earn up to three progress points after each completed Mortis Trial run. The event started on March 25th and players can earn rewards like the Ordo dockets, Plasteel, and Diamantine, and those who complete the last tier will receive a cosmetic insignia- all of this is according to the new update note on the Steam page.
