Digital Extremes has released Isleweaver, the latest free major update for Warframe, available now across all platforms, including the newly launched Nintendo Switch 2. The update brings a wave of new content following Warframe: 1999, including a long-requested “Spiderframe,” a new Clan Operation, visual upgrades, and quality-of-life improvements, according to a press release.
Fans are most excited about Oraxia, the game’s 61st Warframe, described as the “mistress of fear.” Designed with a complex, web-based movement system, Oraxia can summon spiderlings, cling to surfaces, and wield two new weapons: the Scyotid throwing cluster and the Spinnerex whip. She can be unlocked via gameplay or instantly acquired through the in-game marketplace.
“With Isleweaver, we finally got the opportunity to work on Spiderframe,” said Design Director Pablo Alonso. “We knew we needed the right update to bring her to life. Obviously, the animation and coding challenges were tremendous, but special shoutout to the audio team—the sounds of her webs are fantastic.”
The Official Gameplay trailer showcases the new Warframe’s incredibly detailed design with layered textures, unfolding parts, and an ominous tendril-like design that seems reminiscent of the monsters featured in the game. According to the trailer, “his story only ends one way,” suggesting that fans will eventually come to a head with the villain in this update with a fixed, and seemingly violent, outcome.
Players who have completed The Hex, the post-Warframe: 1999 quest, gain access to Scholar’s Landing, a newly added island in Duviri. This expansion continues the arc of antagonist Major Rusalka and reintroduces The Murmur faction. For the first time, players can bring any unlocked Warframe and weapons into Duviri’s open world, blending traditional gameplay with the surreal, Void-infused setting.
Alongside the new map content, Operation: Eight Claw tasks clans with reclaiming Scholar’s Landing by forming an unlikely alliance with Dominus Thrax. The limited-time event offers exclusive rewards tied to the update’s new lore.
All players can also access a set of new Deluxe and TennoGen cosmetics, including a jeweled Citrine skin and several community-created designs for Warframes and weapons. Additionally, Isleweaver introduces an updated onboarding path that streamlines early-game progression and tutorials, with more changes planned based on player feedback.
