VR Adventure Game ‘Moss’ Gets a Launch Date and Trailer

Developer Polyarc has revealed new details about its upcoming game, Moss. In a post on PlayStation’s blog, Polyarc co-founder Tam Armstrong announced a solid release date of February 27 for the game, and shared a new trailer. “The Moss launch trailer provides a glimpse of Quill’s story, more gameplay, and some of the fantastic places you’ll travel with her,” Armstrong wrote. “Our aim at Polyarc has been to make the most of the immersive, interactive potential of VR to build new worlds and tell new stories.”

Moss follows a quiet mouse, Quill, on a journey that carries her far beyond her forest settlement. “One day while exploring the woods, she finds a mysterious Glass Relic and an ancient magic is awakened. Dramatic events quickly unfold as a distant evil extends its reach,” the game’s description reads. As Quill, “you’ll travel to forgotten realms, solve challenging puzzles, and battle menacing enemies.” Moss will also feature a unique style of gameplay in which you guide Quill as a separate character, playing yourself as the two of you navigate the virtual world.

The game’s February 27 release date is just eight days away, and Moss will be available exclusively on the PlayStation 4. In the meantime, you can watch Polyarc’s full launch trailer for the game below.

Glenn Carreau: Hi! I'm Glenn: recent college grad specializing in interactive arts and media, writer, game creator and connoisseur, pop culture junkie, and semi-professional fan-artist and blogger. In my free time, I function as an unnecessarily specific gaming encyclopedia. I also play the violin, binge crime/detective procedural shows (still not sure why), and do a large amount of digital painting. I'm probably too attached to Dragon Age, but not really inclined to do anything about it. I'm a huge fan of cosplay, foxes, the prose of Jenny Lawson, and Strong Female Characters™.
