Vignus is a new top-down adventure game developed and published by Codifyre. Players embody a mysterious being inhabiting a planet that is currently being consumed by a black mist and madness. The game features an automated ecosystem, planet exploration, and base protection.

In the automated system, creatures are being corrupted by an unknown entity and they roam the planet waiting to be cleanses. Players will have a chance to help these creatures by defeating them in combat. Though to do so requires knowing the creature’s weakness and having the right built for combat.

Once cleansed, these creatures will become the player’s companion and assist them throughout their journey. All cleansed companions have unique traits that the player can link with another creature to harvest the resources they need. It is a living production network.

Players will be able to uncover weapons and skills throughout their journey. It is up to them to set up their build, shape their fighting style, and adapt to their enemies. These corrupted creatures will not hold back and will test the player’s skills before being able to be cleansed.

The game features a variety of environments from bone filled wastelands to plains flowing with lava. There are hidden paths for players to uncover, which can lead them to knew weapons, companions, or evolutionary genes.. However, players must also remember that the mist will not leave them to journey in peace.

Frenzied invaders will attack their home base, meaning players must have battle-ready creatures to help protect their base. Along with resource production, these creatures are also a form of defense. They can unleash devastating AoE attacks, disrupt their enemies, provide support, and more.
