

Indie games, the current lifeblood of gaming, have been on the rise in recent years, with many breaking records for player counts and sales. They’ve even gone on to win Game of the Year. Overall, indie games have been on the rise and have surpassed AAA gaming. And now, Verho: Curse of Faces, a King’s Field-inspired dark RPG developed by Kasur Games, has officially announced it will come to consoles, including PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Switch 2. Alongside the console release, the game will be getting an update titled “Chaos,” which will be free. The game will be released on consoles on July 30th, but if you want to play it now, you can, as it is available on both Steam and GOG.
As mentioned before, Verho: Curse of Faces is a dark fantasy dungeon-crawler action game inspired by FromSoftware’s King’s Field series. It was released on PC via Steam and GOG on November 10th, 2025, and has received mostly positive reviews. Overall, it has been a big success for the small Polish studio. And now, a year later, the game will receive a console release, which is huge, as it will reach a whole new audience and only go up from here. The game will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2 on July 30th, 2026. Overall, it’s great to see an indie game expand, move to new platforms, and keep growing, allowing independent developers to keep making the games they are passionate about.
