Riot’s tactical 5v5 shooter VALORANT is releasing a new skinline bundle for Episode 9 inspired by their sister game League of Legends’ “Star Guardian” collection.
Founded in 2015, the Star Guardian skinline in League has had multiple new skins for champions over the following years (2016, 2017, 2019) after the skinline’s initial launch success. Inspired by the theme of magical girls – namely, anime such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica (2011) or Sailor Moon (1994), key visual components of Star Guardian includes purple/pink/blue/orange hues, stars, and cute familiars, especially with the introduction of Jinx’s League of Legends Star Guardian skin in 2016.

This skinline for VALORANT, though, is titled “Evori Dreamwings” and features a melee, Ghost, Odin, Spectre, and Vandal along with pink, green, and orange variants for each. The bundle – which includes the gun skins, the melee skin, a gun buddy, as well as 5 player cards and titles – costs 9,900 Valorant Points (approximately $100 USD). Individually, each skin should cost around 2,475 VP, while the melee is around 4,950 VP. Gun buddies are 475 VP, while player cards are 275 VP. Sprays can also be purchased for 325 VP.
Each color variant of the gun comes with its own familiar (purple cat, pink bear, green rabbit, orange mouse) which can pop out when inspecting the weapon. When near other allies who have an Evori skin equipped, the familiars rock back and forth. The gun buddy also sparkles upon inspection.
This skinline aesthetic follows the Mystbloom skinline, released earlier this year. The Mystbloom skinline is the first ‘pink’ skin bundle ever in VALORANT, which suggests that Riot is exploring different avenues of aesthetics for future skin lines.
The skin bundle will drop on June 27th simultaneously on all available platforms.
