Steam defines Valheim as “a brutal exploration and survival game for 1-10 players, set in a procedurally-generated purgatory inspired by viking culture. Battle, build, and conquer your way to a saga worthy of Odin’s patronage!”
Valheim announced that it is currently having a new Big Witch update. This update includes cooking, new characters, and new building materials.
Players must prepare banquets for their groups of 1 to 10 people. 8 types of banquets are available. Video Games states they are the Swamp Dwellers Delight, the Plains Pie, and the Mushrooms Galore á la Mistlands. To do this, the player has to find specific ingredients within the biome. The more ingredients the players find the more new dishes, cooking skills, and kitchen stations will unlock and update.
There will also be a new tool that can be used to make farming easier. This tool will let the player’s crops grow faster. The downside is that every time a player grows crops, it reduces stamina.
In the video, the game representatives are talking about the game overall, specifically the Bog Witch update.
As of now, we only know of one new character. According to Game Rant, the character is a female and she lives in a wooden hut. She sells rare potions, spices, and crafting materials. If the player wants to boost strength, dexterity, and endurance to gain an advantage while exploring, they can trade gold and gain items to make tonics, medicine, and drinks. Finding her is not easy and can be risky because she has an aggressive broom.
Cured squirrel hamstring and Powdered Dragon eggshells are new crafting materials for building. These are in-game purchases.
This is all the information that has been released so far for this update but there are plans to update even further so the game creators are encouraged to keep up with their social media.
