The highly anticipated action RPG Kingdom Hearts III is just mere months away from its release and developer Square Enix has seriously ramped up their promotional campaign for the game before it hits stores early next year. The most recent developments were revealed during the Tokyo Game Show. They released a new trailer showing off the previously announced Big Hero Six world before, but this trailer gave us our first look at gameplay as well as cutscenes all set within the popular superhero Disney movie.
The world had officially been announced to be appearing within KH3 back in 2015 but it hasn’t been shown up until now. Other than that loads of gameplay, minigames, and other reveals have been shown off for the sequel during TGS 2018. On top of all the footage that was shown there was another interesting tidbit of information given to us. Both Square Enix and Disney announced that award winning producer Skrillex will be working along with renowned singer Utada Hikaru (the voice behind theme songs for the Kingdom Hearts series) in order to create the opening them for Kingdom Hearts III which will be titled Face My Fears.
Back in February of this year Square Enix introduced a brand new song by Utada Hikaru titled Dont Think Twice along with a new trailer. This song was announced to be the official song for KH3. However, it is now clear that Don’t Think Twice will be the ending theme for the game. This came as a surprise to many longtime fans of the series as each game usually has only one theme song for both the beginning and the end. Unfortunately for fans excited to hear the full song, there still is some waiting to do as Face My Fears wont be released until January 18, a little over a week before the release of KH3.
