URGENT: Herald Needs $1000 In Kickstarter Funding

[Update 5/23/2015 9:39 AM PST: Herald has achieved its funding goals with 41 hours to go, with $16,345 pledged]

Indie developer Wispfire’s point-and-click adventure game, Herald, is nearing the end of its Kickstarter run, and with 54 hours to go, needs to garner $1000 more in funding to get their money.

The game has so far achieved $15,342 of its $16,210 funding goal from 498 backers, and have little over two days left to raise the remaining amount if they went to get any funding at all.

A mix between a point and click adventure game and a visual novel, Herald hearkens back to the glory days of narrative-driven adventure games like Monkey Island, and The Dig while telling its own unique tail of colonialism with all the controversial topics that follow it.

A demo of the game can be downloaded from the Kickstarter page, and you can read our own experience with it as well as our previous coverage here and here.

Herald is looking like the kind of game we need more of; a storyteller that’s made by a team of people who know and love what they’re doing, so what if that sounds like it’s up your alley, you should get over to its Kickstarter page and support the cause.
