A new trailer showcasing the updates made to the videogame, Sea of Thieves: 2025 Edition, has been uploaded. For those who may not know, Sea of Thieves: 2025 Edition is multiplayer, open world, adventure, pirate video game that was released all the way back in 2020, but has received frequent updates. Sea of Thieves: 2025 Edition was developed by Rare Ltd, published by Xbox Game Studios, and is available for gamers on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC. The game has been a hit, with it receiving rave reviews from the majority of its player base. Regarding the experience Rare Ltd created for gamers, Xbox Games Studios said:

As can be seen in the beginning of the trailer, the update will be for the month of June for season 16 of the Sea of Thieves update series, which is titled ‘’Reapers Rule’’. The previous update season was titled ‘’Plunder Pass’’, and it lasted from February 20, 2025 until May 22, 2025. It will be interesting to see if this season lasts for a similar timeframe, or goes on longer, or gets cut shorter for a new update in the future. Among the added features from the trailer are the Reaper’s chest being unsealed, allowing players to spawn their own skeletons, a yellow resolute hull, sail and flag customization option, the golden chaser weapon set, and a free monthly voyage titled the ‘’voyage of luck’’. The update is available now to gamers, and most on social media are giving positive feedback.
