Monster Hunter: Rise has taken the market by storm, recently surpassing seven million copies sold, and it isn’t hard to see why. The game is not only an extremely strong entry in the series on its’ own, but it has also been flooded with free updates since its’ launch to make sure that the fun of tracking, battling, and harvesting dinosaurs for more dinosaur-hunting weapons and armor stays fun and fresh for new and old players alike. Just this April update 2.0 went live, bringing more monsters and more gameplay only a month after release. Now, update 3.0 is live, and it’s bringing more brand new content to this already brand-new game.
This update sets up for some new weekly event quests on the way and includes the Capcom-Collab Event: a multi-part story which crosses over with the upcoming title Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. The event also comes with new gear based on Stories 2. Along with this gear, an event quest has already released which awards the Tsukino Layered Palico Armor, because what’s a monster hunter game without plenty of incredible outfits to dress your Palico in. Along with these unlockable gear pieces comes plenty of DLC equipment which can be bought in the eShop individually or all together for $25.
The bulk of the update comes in its’ bug fixes, of which there are seventy five that will hopefully improve the experience of Monster Hunter: Rise across the board. This update will weigh in at 0.65GB, which will bring the entire game up to 3.6GB of space, so make sure you have enough room before downloading.
This won’t be the last update coming to Monster Hunter: Rise either. Update 3.2 is slated for the end of July and 3.3 for mid-August on the official update roadmap, which you can see for yourself here. You can also check out the latest trailer for the game below.
