Until Dawn will allegedly be getting a PlayStation 5 and PC release soon according to Dealabs. According to the Wednesday report, it was hinted that an announcement of a new Until Dawn release will be coming in a matter of weeks, 15 days specifically. That said, not much is known whether this new release will be a total remake or a remaster.
Dealabs suggests that the release will lean towards a remaster, to bring Until Dawn up to the graphical capabilities of the PlayStation 5. Additionally, the report was uncertain to when the alleged remaster would be released, despite the title reportedly being in development for around a year.
That said, the report suggested that Until Dawn’s remaster could be announced at PlayStation’s next State Of Play, likely due to recent rumors and leaks of big new releases coming to the PS5 like Death Stranding 2.
Supermassive Game’s interactive horror game Until Dawn launched in 2015. Players take the role of eight friends trapped in a snowy retreat deep in Blackwood Mountain. Every choice has its consequences, and players need to choose carefully if they want everyone to make it out alive.
Since it’s release, the game had enraptured the gaming industry with the many gory scares hidden in its interactive narrative. And with that success, Supermassive went at it again and released another interactive horror game The Quarry in 2022.
It wouldn’t be too surprising to see a Until Dawn remake, especially considering the recent news of its movie adaptation by both Screen Gems and PlayStation Productions.
For any future updates gamers should keep an eye on the official social media of Supermassive Games and PlayStation.
