Today, during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, PlayStation and Naughty Dog have announced a remastered bundle called Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. The bundle packs together Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, the last two Uncharted games that were released. Both of the games are getting remastered for the PlayStation 5 console and PC. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be released in Early 2022.
This is not the only Uncharted Collection. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection features remastered versions of the first three Uncharted games, Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake’s Deception, which were released on PlayStation 3. The Nathan Drake Collection was released for the PlayStation 4.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End features Nathan Drake as he hunts for Captain Avery’s long-lost treasure, setting off for one final far-flung adventure across the jungles of Madagascar to the long-lost pirate colony of Libertalia. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy picks up after the events of A Thief’s End and follows Chloe Frazer’s journey to India’s Western Ghats where she teams up with renowned mercenary Nadine Ross to hunt for the Golden Tusk of Ganesh.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will arrive in early 2022 first to the PlayStation 5. The PC version, which is being developed by Iron Galaxy will be released shortly after the PS5 version. More details about Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be revealed as the release date approaches.
Both Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy received critical praise when they were released. Both games expanded on the Uncharted formula by opening things up. At the time they were released, Naughty Dog games were not as big in terms of play space. This created scenarios and opportunities for players to explore the world in a way that hadn’t done before in a Naughty Dog game. Naughty Dog took what they learned from The Last of Us and applied it to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy. Then they took what they learned from these two games and applied that to The Last of Us Part II which had even more explorable space.
