In celebration of the new content drop Operation Oracle, a free weekend for Ghost Recon: Wildlands. However, apparently, it seems that the new content may have hidden a subtle clue to a possible new game reveal happening on May 9.
The teasers actually started in December which showcased a fictional company’s drone technology. It had a link to the “official” company website which had a May 9 invitation posted.
Another invitation was discovered by the YouTuber corecross. This invitation appears in Operation Oracle. The invitation takes place on May 9 at 11:30 am PDT, 2:30 pm EDT, 7:30 BST, 8:30 CEST.
Many seem that the Easter Egg may be teasing a new Tom Clancy game. Whether that be a new Ghost Recon or something else, only time will tell.
One Tom Clancy franchise that has been rumored heavily is Splinter Cell. There was a Special Operation that guest starred Sam Fisher himself and Splinter Cell was in the big leak of games from last year.
Operation Oracle was released yesterday. It contains a new narrative arc with two free missions. It revolves around a rescue mission for a Skell Tech engineer taken hostage by Unidad forces.
As the mission goes along, you start to realize that something bigger is going on. Ubisoft says that “what you will discover here might very well set the scene for the future”.
During the mission, you meet fellow Ghost team leader Major Cole. D Walker who is played by actor Jon Bernthal.
Completing Operation Oracle unlocks two unique rewards, a new finisher and a new tattoo inspired by Major Walker. You can also get Walker’s costume as a reward via Ubisoft Club at a later date.
Operation Oracle also came with a ton of bug fixes and improvements which can be found here. The Ghost Recon: Wildlands free weekend runs from May 2-5.
