Prior to hosting their E3 press conference, Ubisoft announced a new mode that would be coming to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. This mode, titled Story Creator Mode, allows for players to design their own quests for the game which can then be shared for other players to experience in game.
Story Creator Mode is a quest creation tool that allows you to build your own Stories in the world of #AssassinsCreedOdyssey and play stories created by the community!

Story Creator Mode is a “web-based tool” which is now live in its beta form and free for players to access. The tools can be access via the official website. Using these tools, players will have the ability to create six different types of quest lines ranging from assassinations to rescue missions, to even visiting specific places across Greece. The game will even have new markers to distinguish these new quests from the quests already in the game.
Our motto has always been that history is your playground, and this is more true than ever with Story Creator Mode!
Players will also be able to create their own custom dialogue and have branching dialogue choices to spice up their quests. Thus, you can create opportunities for players to lie their way out of a situation or even attack the character they’re speaking to. Ubisoft is giving players the opportunity to have quests end in a variety of different ways. Players will have access to Assassin’s Creed Odyssey‘s huge character roster for use in their custom quests. However, some characters and locations will not be available to use “such as the mythical creatures and their arenas.”
Players will be able to access the stories made by others via an in-game menu, and it doesn’t matter which platform someone is playing on either as quests can be shared across platforms. However, players will only be able to create 32 different quest lines as of now. Players also won’t be able to adjust XP or Drachmae, the game’s currency, others earn when completing their quests. However, XP and Drachmae earned will be carried over to the main game.
