The summer gaming scene is only growing larger, as Ubisoft has officially confirmed the date for their own showcase event Ubisoft Forward. Last year’s headliners were the alleged quadruple A title, that being Skull and Bones, which recently released in February to some less than great reception from the general public. Other headliners included Avatar Frontiers Of Pandora, which also has already released back in December, and the last big surprise for the event was the Star Wars Outlaws showcase which gave us our first look at gameplay for the much anticipated Star Wars title that is set to release sometime this year in Q3 or Q4. Well, there seems to be more in stock for Ubisoft to showcase because on June 10th, live in Los Angeles, the next iteration of Ubisoft Forward will commence.

While there’s not many announced projects the moment for the foreseeable future from Ubisoft, this event could still be very full of surprises. As far as expectations we really have no clue what will be showcased which leaves room for speculation. There is a rather high possibility that we will get yet another look, and potentially a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, as well as our first official look at Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. The highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed title will have players playing as a Samurai in feudal Japan, but there isn’t much more additional information at this time. We can also expect to see more information regarding the next Division title, Division Heartland.
Its also important to point out that Ubisoft Forward will be taking place the same week as Summer Games Fest, arguably the biggest gaming event of the summer. Summer Games Fest will be taking place on June 7th. Seeing as Ubisoft has decided to have their event take place on the same week, don’t be surprised if other studios take this time to plan their events as well for around the same time. This summer is going to be massive for announcements and first looks.
