During the International 2019 Valve Tournament in Shanghai, Valve released two new trailers showing off their newest heroes for the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game, DOTA 2. The two new characters, Snapfire and Void Spirit will have their own unique abilities, just like every hero in the game.
The first trailer to be released was Snapfire’s trailer. Snapfire is an elderly goblin who has been seen in trailer baking cookies with the faces of all of her friends on them. The trailer has shown her performing a number of feats such as firing a shotgun, taking on a dozen monsters with only her trusty lizard mount, her cookies, her mounted machine gun, and her shotgun, and coming out with nary a scratch. She has been shown in trailer throwing her delicious cookies to her allies to aid them in battle, but it is currently unknown if Snapfire will have a support ability or if this is only part of the trailer.
The other character, Void Spirit, has not been shown in combat, but he has been shown to have a double sided sword, as well as utilizing portals, and making objects appear out of thin air. He is the fourth celestial to be added to DOTA 2, with the previous entries being his brethren: Storm Spirit, Ember Spirit, and The Brewmaster. His other abilities will most likely be revealed at a later date.
Both of these characters are set to be released in the Fall of 2019 as a part of the Outlanders update. The Outlanders Update does not have a release date yet, but when it does, players will be able to join the fray as a goblin grandmother with a shotgun or as a god with a double sided sword. Their full abilities are currently unknown but both heroes will likely create new possibilities for players everywhere.
