Dragon Ball FighterZ, Arc System Works new fighting game that was revealed at E3 2017 has just gotten a new character announcement on stage at Evo 2017. The game received a lot positive feedback from fans of fighting games after it was revealed. Producer Tomoko Hiroki announced the new character at Evo and debuted a new trailer showing off Trunks fighting against other familiar characters in the series. You can view the reveal here below:
Also Trunks will be available to play during the closed beta. Both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players can sign up for the beta on July 26 when registration starts.
During the tournament, Hiroki commented on the possibility of the game being released on the Nintendo Switch. However it does seem like this development could take some time before it is truly realized. He stated that they are currently focused on bringing Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 to the Switch first before moving on to the next project. “We want players to first go there, and then we can talk about FighterZ.” stated Hiroki. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be arriving on the Nintendo Switch in September so Dragon Ball FighterZ would likely arrive to the console after that. Dragon Ball Fighter Z is a unique title due to the fact that it will be a 2D style game with flashy animations that overwhelm the screen. Hiroki also confirmed that cross play between PC and consoles will not be available on Dragon Ball FighterZ. The game will be arriving for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 early next year.
