Treyarch has been showing fans what Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has in store for them within the next new update for the game. They have supplied a steady stream of new content for the game and it seems they have more in store.
The developer previously teased that they have “new content coming to all modes in our next Operation” this week. They haven’t gone to any extensive details just yet but it sounds like something big has been in the works for this update. For the first of the events, Treyarch will be starting off two special modes for PlayStation 4 players.
The Arms Race Team Deathmatch for multiplayer will yield more about 50 more points than usual for every enemy killed. As for the Blackout mode there will be a new version of Close Quarters Frenzy that will happen more abruptly and players will only be able to find a select array of weapons such as pistols, shotguns, and Bowie Knives.
Then, starting February 14 players will be able to earn double XP, Weapon XP, and other rewards depending on which modes they choose to play. For PlayStation 4 players there will also be new multiplayer and Blackout playlists available. Treyarch has also hinted at some changes coming to the Blackout mode as well by way of a mysterious Tweet from the game’s official account.

The map has been marked with multiple X’s suggesting that some changes are coming to these areas. Players are excited and wonder what kind of changes could be coming to the map; however, the message is still ambiguous at best, so fans can only speculate at this point as to what the developers have in store for the when the update goes live.
