A couple days ago, the demo for Town to City, developed and published by Galaxy Grove and Kwalee, was announced. The demo is free and now available on PC through Steam. It it yet to be said when the official game will release, and if it will come out on consoles as well.
The trailer shows the pixelated game where players can create their own streets as well as different buildings and also decorate their town with plants and lanterns. Town to City is a city-builder game where players will be able to turn their small town that they start off with into a city.
Players will be able to freely place buildings and decorate their city to appeal to other families to get them to move into the town. Not only can players create one town, but they can create multiple towns later on as their population grows. There are also different modes such as story mode and sandbox mode. In both modes, players are still free to place down plants and buildings to grow their town into a city at their own pace.
Players are able to place buildings next to each other as well as create plazas, amenities, and parks as well. To add more light to their town, players will be able to decorate their towns with pots of flowers, decorate their homes, and place parks around the town to make it more lively and to increase the population. There is also a built in photo-mode in the game, where players can take pictures of their creations.
The description of the Steam page also speaks about creating buildings that would “cater for everyone– from workers to artisans and the bourgeoisie – alongside specific requests by individual residents.” Along with that, players will be able to start conversations with the citizens of their town and watch them settle down.
