Netmarble’s collectible RPG Tower of God: New World is blowing out two candles this week with an anniversary update packed full of high-tier additions, generous rewards, and the return of summer-themed festivities, according to a press release. Based on SIU’s globally beloved webtoon, Tower of God, the game has grown into one of Netmarble’s flashiest titles—and it’s showing no signs of slowing as it enters its third year.
Headlining the update are two formidable new teammates who fans of the lore will recognize immediately. SSR+ [FUG Executive] Ha Yura, once a celebrated idol and now a vengeful force allied with FUG, enters the battlefield as a Purple-element support unit. She brings a Light Bearer’s precision and ally-focused toolkit, designed to boost survivability while meting out subtle control over the flow of combat. Alongside her comes XSR+ [Princess of Zahard] Garam, a high-rarity alternate version of the elusive Ranker from her royal youth. Channeling her Fisherman role with Blue-elemental affinity, Garam adds complexity and versatility to the support meta with her noble lineage and measured power.
To mark the occasion, Netmarble has launched a spread of in-game events aimed at long-time players and newcomers alike. From now through August 13, players can dig into the [2nd Anniversary] Nonstop SSR+ Limit Break Summon—a high-stakes gacha banner that lets fans chase elite teammates using summon tickets earned through anniversary festival events. That window also plays host to “That Summer Vacation,” a limited-time story event that temporarily trades the Tower’s brutal grind for a sunlit narrative detour, offering players Revolution resources and lore-rich interactions in return.
Outside the summon system, the festivities continue with a shower of anniversary-exclusive goodies, including a 2nd Anniversary background, a Revolution Reset Ticket, and a brand-new costume for [Family Head] Traumerei. A trio of timed events—Lucky Draw, Wish Card, and Special Boss Battle—will also run until the end of July, each stacked with layered rewards for those willing to grind through their challenges. At its core, Tower of God: New World still leans hard into its anime aesthetic and fast-paced card battle format. Players build teams from over 100 fan-favorite characters, deploying them across 3D-rendered stages with a unique Slot System that emphasizes tactical flexibility over rigid meta dependencies.
For mobile players, Tower of God: New World remains available on iOS and Android via Google Play and the App Store. PC players can also access the game through Google Play Games Beta. With two years down and a growing cast of Rankers, revolutionaries, and royalty behind it, this gacha-climber is clearly still reaching for the top.
