Total War: Rome II Patches Up After Buggy Launch

Total War: Rome II had a mixed reception when it launched earlier this month, with one of the points against it being the number of bugs the game shipped with. Developer Creative Assembly has been working to fix that with a series of patches, addressing complaints such as desynchronization in multiplayer games, extremely long load times, and crashes.

The first and second patches have already rolled out, with a third available for beta testing now. Creative Assembly is also using the patches to implement user interface improvements and balance changes. Enemy AI is also getting some tune-ups, though they still have a nasty habit of sending pitifully small forces to die against fortified cities.

There is definitely an argument that the game should not have shipped with so many issues, but at least the developers are addressing complaints.
