Toplitz Productions is keeping the Gamescom 2025 momentum rolling with fresh trailers for two of its upcoming titles, Permafrost and Vampires: Bloodlord Rising. Even before the doors officially open in Cologne on August 20, the publisher is already drawing attention with a showcase that highlights the variety and atmosphere of both games, according to a press release.

Vampires: Bloodlord Rising, developed by Mehuman Games, puts players in the role of Dragos, a vampire navigating the gothic realm of Sangavia. The trailer teases the open-world adventure, blending brooding exploration with bloody combat against the Inquisition. As Dragos, players can embrace their monstrous instincts or attempt to carve out a different path. From transforming into a bat under moonlight to building a towering Gothic castle, the choices will define how power is claimed. The Kiss of Eternity, an ability hinted at in the footage, shows just how far the game leans into its seductive and horrific tone. Vampires: Bloodlord Rising will rise into Early Access on October 23, just in time for Halloween.

Permafrost, developed by SpaceRocket Games, takes survival into the frozen ruins of a world shattered by the destruction of the moon. In this apocalyptic wasteland of snow, ice, and relentless sub-zero conditions, players must rely on instincts, scavenging, and the companionship of a loyal dog to endure. The trailer highlights both solo and co-op survival, with opportunities to unite fractured factions or fall victim to their hostility. The blend of rebuilding society and surviving environmental threats makes Permafrost a different kind of challenge compared to Bloodlord Rising. While it will also enter Early Access later this year, the specific release date has yet to be confirmed.

Both titles are set to be key parts of Toplitz Productions’ presence at Gamescom. Visitors will be able to see extended gameplay at the publisher’s booth in Hall 4.1, where Vampires: Bloodlord Rising and Permafrost will be featured prominently. For media and content creators, the publisher is even hosting a dedicated Permafrost cave to show off the game’s stark survival atmosphere.

Toplitz continues to showcase its diverse publishing slate, balancing the gothic blood-soaked action of Vampires: Bloodlord Rising with the icy survival experience of Permafrost. With one arriving in time for Halloween and the other following later in the year, both games underline the publisher’s commitment to distinct, atmospheric worlds that challenge players in very different ways.
