Gaming fans everywhere were in a frenzy after a remastered version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 (THPS) was announced, with the Birdman himself on board for the project. The classic skateboarding game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 4th. The full soundtrack is now available for streaming on Spotify, and a lot of the songs from the original games are returning in the remaster!

Tracks featured from THPS 1 include “Police Truck” by Dead Kennedys, “New Girl” by The Suicide Machine, and “Euro-Barge” by the Vandals! Most tracks from the first game will not be making a return, including both Speedealer songs, “Screamer” and “Nothing to Me”. However, a larger portion of the second games sounds track will be included in the remaster. Tracks from THPS 2 include “Heavy Metal Winner” by Consumed, “You” by Bad Rebellion, and much more! The genre of the soundtracks have always heavily towards rock, which has been known to add energy and excitement to the game series. It seems that Vicarious Visions aims to maintain the identity of the THPK franchise, while remastering them to a modern standard. The graphics and visuals will obviously get a huge upgrade, as showcased in the official announcement trailer. Classic modes like Create-a-Park and Create-a-Skater will also be revamped and expanded in the new game. The soundtrack is will add a very nostalgic feel while the new graphics and gameplay will provide such a new flair to the remaster.
