Respawn Entertainment has released details regarding their brand new single player experience in Titanfall 2. A common complaint in the first game was the lack of a single player mode for a full priced game, but Respawn is rectifying the situation with an extensive campaign.
The single player game will star rifleman James Cooper and the damaged Titan BT-7274 as they fight through enemy forces. The developers are focusing on the connection that the man and mechanized suit make with each other, and the moments showcased so far offer both somber and comedic moments. You have choices on dialogue options as Cooper, and the choices you make will reportedly affect the story.
The level design for the single player experience hopes to mimic that of the multiplayer. As a pilot, you will rely on parkour skills to run, slide, and jump to attack enemy snipers and hostile Titans. Just like in the multi player, you can hijack Titans and use their powerful arsenal against your foes. BT has the unique ability to switch up his weapon load out on the fly, much different than the rigid structure of the original game. There are brand new titan and pilot classes that will impact your combat strategies, but details are sparse.
Titanfall 2 is slated to drop (pun intended) on October 28th for the Playstation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows. For more information about the game, you can check out their website for more details. As always, as more features are announced, MXDWN will be here with the scoop.
