Respawn announced this week that Titan Fall 2 will be receiving a new map and titan for the game’s multiplayer mode on May 30. These additions to the game will also be free of charge to players. The brand new titan that will be released is called Monarch. The developer describes this titan as a mid-ranged Vanguard class that can upgrade itself during battle due to her Upgrade Core. Players will select a series of upgrades and try to last long enough to reach Monarch’s final form.
Respawn adds “Monarch also has an impressive ability to draw power from enemy Titans to recharge her own shields, or the shields of her friendly Titans.” There will also be the addition of a new cloaked execution and two more prime titans, Tone and Ronin added on May 30 as well.
The update will also bring a new map to Titan Fall 2, Relic. Even though this map is new to Titan Fall 2 it is a remake from the Relic map from the original Titan Fall. The map places players against each other in the wreckage of an IMC carrier between two towns.
“Created with front lines in mind, the gameplay is all about assaulting and controlling the center and engaging in firefights from the great viewpoints of the ship against the varied defensible positions in the Town,” Respawn stated.
Players will also have the option of purchasing cosmetic items in addition to the free updates. More information on what else will be coming in the update will be available on Respawn’s website.
