Developer Spearhead Games has announced that its co-op puzzle, Tiny Brains that release in December 2013, is now $9.99 on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Steam. It will also be cross-buy compatible between PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, which will allow players who have purchased the game for one platform to be able to buy it at no extra charge for the other platform.
Tiny Brains as a 4 player co-op puzzler, has players interact both on and offscreen by working together with each others abilities and movements to complete the objectives. Players have a choice of four unique characters, which have basic skills that allows them to push objects, jump, and move around. Each character has an ability that interacts with the other characters and environment. During gameplay, players can engage with each other from creating blocks to swap-teleport, these abilities allow for total control ot total chaos. With every stage, your journey is full of discovery and learning how each of the character’s abilities work with new objects.
Spearhead Games has listened to the communities feedback and has brought a new free update to Tiny Brains. The new ‘Road to Stardom’ mode has 10 new time-based puzzle challenges, which includes the Infernal Carousel, Battle of Sphereburg and Matrix Ball and has new scoring system. It also includes an improvement to the progression system that follows the stars that players earn. Also the hamster has new superpower, which allows them to freeze objects in addition to creating ice blocks.
With the new update, demo players are allowed to play online through chapter 1 and join in with players who own the full game, which allows demo players to experience the 4 player combo co-op before buying.
