Indie publisher Fellow Traveler and developer Copychaser Games have revealed a brand new IP. Dubbed Times and Galaxy, the title was announced through Steam as part of the LudoNarraCon, a digital event that focuses on titles with heavy narratives. Times and Galaxy is a point and click adventure where you take on the role of a robot journalist intern in the distant future and travel from location to location trying to get the biggest scoop of what’s happening in each area.
The game also received a reveal trailer, with some gameplay that showcases the different types of areas and characters that you’ll interact with in order to get the biggest and best scoop. The intern, which takes the form of a grey robot that has an infinite smiley face, is seen walking around each area talking to different people around them. These special areas of scoops include, Interstellar Cat Shows, Explosive Toy Launches, and Space Ghost Funerals. When stationary, you’ll move a teal-colored eyeball around the screen an interact with different objects and spaces, which is the tried and true method of the point and click adventure genre. Once you have enough material, you’ll then have to make the actual story and structure it correctly.
In addition to this new trailer, you can also try the game out right now, as the developers have placed a demo on the main Steam page, which you can check out here. With the unique art style and intricate storytelling that the game is offering, we’re definitely excited to get our hands on this title when it releases. No word on if there will be a home console port, but as the year progresses we’re sure to get some more information about this one.
Times and Galaxy will launch sometime on 2024 for PC through Steam.
