Back in February of this year, Tides of Annihilation was announced, and shortly after, a trailer was revealed. The game, which is both developed and published by Eclipse Glow Studios, was not given a release date release date, and still a few months later, has not gotten one. When it does release, Tides of Annihilation is expected to be available on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Tides of Annihilation will be a single player, dark fantasy, action game that was inspired by ‘’Arthurian legend’’, and will take place in a London that ‘’lies in ruin’’. Looking more closely at the story of the game, Eclipse Glow Studios said:
Uncover the mystery of an otherworldly invasion in a shattered modern London, unleashing hordes of enemies
She stands where two worlds end and fights to save them both. ⚔️

Looking at the trailer, Tides of Annihilation will involve players fighting off lots of enemies, and exploring a supernatural world in many different ways. The game also appears to have lots of boss battles, with Gwendolyn(the main character in Tides of Annihilation) fighting what looks to be large monsters, throughout the back-half of the trailer. Also of note, is that the way Eclipse Glow Studios describes the way players can ‘’explore’’ a torn-apart London, Tides of Annihilation very well could be an open-world style game. Gamers on social media were for the most part, very excited to see the announcement of this game back in February, though some have become agitated with no release date announcement at State of Play, Summer Game Fest, or any of the other notable gaming events from this past weekend.
