There Will Be 4-5 Big Reveals Like Elden Ring At Summer Game Fest During The Game Awards 2021 According To Geoff Keighley

With The Game Awards 2021 rapidly approaching, there have been a few teases of some of the things that will be revealed at the event on Thursday. Over the past few days, there have been hints at new games, look at upcoming content for games, and some sneak peeks at other game-centric entertainment. Recently, Geoff Keighley, Producer and Host of The Game Awards talked about what we can expect from the show saying that there are a number of reveals that are on the level of the Elden Ring gameplay trailer released during Summer Game Fest earlier this year.

In an interview with ForTheWin, Keighley talked about a number of different topics. One of them was the reveal of Elden Ring that was showcased at Summer Game Fest. As he talks about the game, he mentions that there will be reveals at The Game Awards that are on the same scale as Elden Ring. “I was very happy because the trailer was great. It was a great asset, a highly anticipated game that really delivered. There were a lot of things that were good about that so yes, I was uniquely excited to be able to bring that to people,” Keighley said. This year? Oh, God, there are probably four or five things of that level. I can’t wait to show people this stuff. Summer Game Fest was a new thing that I had created. The fact that FromSoftware bet on me and Summer Game Fest where they could have done more traditional E3 stuff, that meant a lot to me. It was a huge honor to work with the From guys, so stay tuned, there may be more coming.” Geoff Keighley also said that people will get a sense of “true next-generation gameplay at the show.” According to Keighley, there will be at least one or two big reveals for PS5 or Xbox Series X. Keighley talked about how planning for The Game Awards recently was difficult during the pandemic. “Last year was pretty hard just because of the pandemic – a lot of things got delayed and pushed. I think we pulled it off. We had Mass EffectPerfect Dark, Sephiroth in Smash and a lot of other great stuff,” Keighley said. “But this year – especially the first like 30 or 45 minutes of the show – we’ve got some pretty major stuff.”

We know at least a couple of new games will be present and revealed at The Game Awards 2021. A new game from Embark Studios will be revealed. Embark Studios is a team in Stockholm led by former EA executives. Recently, they teased their first game, ARC Raiders. Studio Improbable also confirmed that its new game will be revealed during the event on Thursday. We may also see the announcement of a new Sonic game coinciding with the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

Gaming is not the only thing that will be revealed during The Game Awards 2021. In another interview about this year’s show, Keighley talked about how this year will feature more looks at things from traditional entertainment. A teaser trailer was released for The Matrix Awakens, an Unreal Engine 5 Experience featuring performances from Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss. Players can pre-load the experience on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Viewers will also get a sneak peek at the upcoming movie, The Matrix Resurrections. Today, it was revealed that the first look trailer for the upcoming Halo tv series will debut during The Game Awards.
