The game will be available as a standalone purchase on each of the platforms. For owners of the game on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, you can get the next generation edition of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as a free update.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt isn’t the only game that CD Projekt Red is bringing into the next generation. The company announced that a next generation version of the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming as well. Alongside that, the developer announced that Cyberpunk 2077 is following The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and will be getting a series of free DLC and expansions.
Recently, CD Projekt Red said that they will be talking about what players can expect from the game post-launch soon and how they will handle microtransactions in a recent conference call. This could mean that another Night City Wire could be on the way soon. The latest went into the weaponry and lifepaths that players can choose from.
In the conference call, CD Projekt Red also made it very clear that there will be no more delays to the game. Cyberpunk 2077 launches November 17, 2020, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
