The Witcher 3 Revealed to be Heading to Switch at E3, Will Run at 540p in Handheld Mode 720p While Docked

During the Nintendo E3 Direct, one of the best RPGs of this generation, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be getting ported to the hybrid console. This port won’t just be the base version of the game either. The game will be the Complete Edition which includes both of the games massive expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, and all additional DLC.

While it is honestly amazing that CD Projekt Red has gotten The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt running on the Switch, the game won’t be up to par with versions of the game on other consoles or PC. CD Projekt Red has confirmed that while playing the game in handheld mode the game’s resolution will be a low 540p while being played. On the other hand, when playing while the Switch is docked, the game’s resolution will be 720p but will have the ability to have dynamic resolution enabled. The game will also be held to one 32 GB cart which means that players won’t have to additionally download a part of the game like other hefty Switch titles.

This wasn’t the only news from CD Projekt Red at E3 either. During the Microsoft press conference, the studio showed off a new trailer for their highly anticipated upcoming RPG Cyberpunk 2077. That trailer ended with one of the biggest surprises from the entirety of E3 with showing that actor Keanu Reeves will be in the game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition is set to release on Nintendo Switch at some point later this year. You can check out the full The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Nintendo Switch trailer below:
