Perhaps the most expansive and immersive game made to date, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is going to be releasing a Game of the Year Edition. According to Polygon, the open world RPG is set to expand on its universe as well as add key gameplay improvements.
I’m happy to confirm, yes, plans are in motion to release such an edition. We’ll release more details, including the release date, in the future.
This quote is from game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz. This means that even with all the free DLC and updates the game has already received the studio is continuing to support and listen to the community. The game has been a title in which players lose track of time and pour hours upon hours into their play. The question on every RPG gamers mind is when is this masterpiece coming out, again. Although not confirmed there is some speculation.
There have been a few release dates floating around, however the most credible seems to come from Eurogamer, who first broke the story. According to them the game is set to launch on August 26th of this summer. With that date approaching Witcher fans are ecstatic.
The Witcher 3 launched early May 2015 on all current gen and PC since that time developer, Projekt Red, has released two expansions for the game: Hearts of Stone this past Fall, and Blood and Wine this past Spring. The Game of the Year Edition will most likely include these two DLCs as well as every free DLC the developers have added.
Happy Hunting.
