The Walking Dead Game’s Final Season Releases in August

Telltale’s The Walking Dead has been a huge hit with gamers since its first iteration back in 2012. Since then, we have followed Clementine and have watched her grow over the past few years. We will soon see the conclusion of not only Clementine’s story, but Alvin Jr.’s as well come August.

The fourth and final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead game series picks up with the hardened survivalist, Clementine, and orphaned child, Alvin Jr., and the pair end up taking refuge in a secluded school after being on the road for some time. Clementine will come face to face with new threats that she must fend off in order to protect Alvin Jr., and she will continue to make hard choices that the series is known for.

As this is the final season, Telltale is looking to really go all out with this one. The developer is promising many new features for players to enjoy as the sign-off to Clementine’s adventure. Included in the fourth season will be an over-the-shoulder camera perspective, unscripted combat (unknown if it will completely replace QTE combat), and some stellar, much needed improvements to the graphics with an amazing Graphic Black art style. The game will also be playable in a 4K resolution for compatible devices, so those with high-end PCs, an Xbox One X, or a PlayStation 4 Pro will be able to enjoy the finest quality graphics for the final chapter of the series.

The final season for Telltale’s The Walking Dead starts on August 14. Pre-orders for the game, however, are just around the corner, and will start on June 8. The pre-order will run buyers $19.99, and those who pre-order the title will receive access to the entire season’s episodes as they become available. In addition, those who pre-order on the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One will receive The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Collection for no additional cost.  The collection comes with season 1-3, the Michonne and 400 Days DLC, as well as improved graphics for all games included in the bundle. There will also be a Nintendo Switch version for the title come later in 2018.
