Indie Developer The Astronauts and publisher Nordic Games brings you the fiction horror and mystery game, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. It will be coming to PC both retail stores and digital in the third quarter of 2014.
Become an investigator and help out the detective Paul Prospero in the case of Ethan Carter, where you will need to find the truth behind The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. You have supernatural abilities that allow you to see the scene of the crime as it happens, which will help you in trying to solve the case of a young boy being kidnapped, before it’s too late.
“The Vanishing of Ethan Carter immediately had the finger on our pulse,” said Reinhard Pollice, Business & Product Development Director at Nordic Games. “We’re excited to be involved with this one-of-a-kind horror/mystery game and the atmosphere it conveys on screenshots and trailers already. To collaborate with The Astronauts is the icing on the cake.”
Take on both exploration, mystery, and discovery as you walk around a town to find Ethan Carter, on the way you’ll find traces of what seems to be of a kidnapper, that has been left in the mountain area of this town, where the body is left mutilated. “Using both your paranormal skill and modern detective tools you discover the mystery behind the trail of corpses in the valley, the roots of an ancient force ruling the area.”
“With such an understanding and responsive partner it’s been really easy for us to make a decision to cooperate with Nordic Games on the box version of our game,” said Adrian Chmielarz, co-founder of The Astronauts and lead designer of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter. “Some gamers asked us for a physical copy, and I am happy that thanks to Nordic we can deliver.”
